Features and Benefits
• The HCTB has a compact & attractive design for interior wall mounting. Standard
color is white RAL9010.
• Eliminates the need for splicing in the customer premises.
• On the front main cover a flip cover is available for an identification label.
• Removable main cover for easy access.
• The HCTB is pre-terminated in the factory to a length of cable using SC/APC
connector. Fully tested, each box is supplied with data for insertion loss and return
loss for each connector.
• The standard cable lengths available are 30m or 50m. Other lengths can be
supplied. Contact Prysmian for further information.
• On the front face, the HCTB can also accept through the Keystone port:
a female connector (type 9.52) TV antenna cable
a male connector (Type F) for satellite cable
a male connector (Type RJ45) CATx for Ethernet networks.
This feature allows to use the same existing duct to install the optical
cable together with the already installed copper cable.
• The «pull» type cable (L1082-1) for duct installation or direct to the wall
installation are LSOH, have a 4 mm nominal diameter, contains one fibre
BendbrightXS (G.657.A2) in a 900 microns buffer, SC/APC pre-terminated.
• The «push» type cable (L1087-1R) for duct installation are LSOH, have a 2,7 mm
maximum diameter, contains one fibre BendbrightXS (G.657.A2) in a 900 microns
buffer, SC/APC pre-terminated. All the accessories needed to push the cable are
supplied within the kit.
• Cables can enter unit from rear and bottom side.
• All fibres are positively managed to maintain a 15mm minimum bend radius.
• Patch cord exits the unit on bottom face and is protected by the use of innershuttered adapters.
• Supplied with a bracket for wall mounting (with screws or double face tape), for
embedded electrical junction box.

The cable core is formed by bending thermoplastic tubes and sufficient number of elements (tubes or fillers) containing up to 12 single/multi mode optical fibers and waterproof material together with the fibers with the SZ method. The cable core is filled with filling material for longitudinal waterproofing. Glass yarn material is wrapped on the filled cable core for environmental reinforcement. Corrugated steel tape armor application is made, coated with copolymer material on both sides to protect the cable core from external factors. Black colored PE sheath is applied on the armor.
