Single circuit splice trays are a single tray with two separate storage areas.
• Note: For use with 1.5mm splice protectors. Crimp splices can also be used

• Each box comes supplied with a top and bottom routing manifold for fibre
routing to the splice trays.

• Each box can be supplied empty or pre fitted with a 1×32 way splitter. For

Features and benefits
• The MDB-M48 is a wall box or module that allows splicing, patching, splitting or
storage of optical fibres.
• A MDB-M24 version is also available (see datasheet WM062-01 Modular
Distribution Box MDB-M24) with half the capacity, it can be stacked with the MDBM48 to create a modular system.
• The MDB-M48 module has a central area to organize the fibres, this area is
protected with a front door.
• The right hand side cover allows access to a common patch panel for up to 48SC
positions. In the area, the top and bottom walls are removable to provide
patching between the modules.
• The two covers are secured with a 8mm male triangular key, DIN3223.
• Two cable entry ports are available on the MDB-M48.
• The MDB-M48 module can be configured as :
A Patch Module: Suitable to receive up to four SC pre-terminated cables.
A Splice Module: Suitable to splice up to 48 fibres from one or two cables to
pigtails connected to the patch panel.
A Splitting Module: Suitable to mount twelve pre-terminated SC/APC 1×4 PLC

• 2U unit suitable for up to four fibres with SC/APC adaptors.
• The CB CTB is pre-terminated in the factory to a length of cable using SC/APC
connectors. Fully tested, each box is supplied with data for insertion loss and
return loss for each connector.
• The standard cable lengths available are 50m or 100m. Other lengths can be

• The internal/external cable type (L1083-x) has 6mm nominal diameter. It
contains from one to four fibres BendbrightXS (G.657.A2) in a 900 microns
buffer, SC/APC pre-terminated. The cable has a external HDPE sheath that can
be pilled to continue the installation, without interruption, with the internal
LSOH sheath inside the premises. The cable can enter unit from bottom face.
• The external cable type (L1084-x) has a 5mm nominal diameter, HDPE
sheath. It contains from one to four fibres BendbrightXS (G.657.A2) in a 900
microns buffer, SC/APC pre-terminated. The cable can enter unit from the
bottom face.
• All fibres are positively managed to maintain a 15mm minimum bend radius.
• Patch cords exit the unit on bottom face and are protected by the use of
inner-shuttered adapters.

• The «push» type cable (L1087-1R) for duct installation is LSOH, have a 2,7
mm maximum diameter, contain one fibre BendbrightXS (G.657.A2) in a 900
microns buffer, SC/APC pre-terminated. All the accessories needed to push the
cable are supplied within the kit.
